Introduction: Steel thickness should follow the concrete part, not a fixed habit. A light cover plate and a tall wall section should not be handled with the same mold structure.
Description: A Rail track mold works under concrete weight, vibration, lifting, cleaning and repeated opening. If the working plate is too thin, the surface may move and the finished concrete part may lose accuracy. If every plate is made too thick, the mold becomes harder to lift and more expensive than necessary.
For railway accessory parts, a Rail track mold often uses Q235 or Q355 steel. Cover plate molds may use thinner panels, while wall molds usually need stronger plates and denser ribs. The right choice comes from the drawing, part height, concrete pressure and expected reuse.
Key Details: Thickness is only one part of the answer. A long panel can still bend without ribs in the right position. End plates, bolt spacing, joint lines and lifting points also decide whether the mold keeps its shape during production.
